New electrical cabling run through stud walls during a house rewire

Full & Partial Rewires

Whole-house rewires planned around your life, not just your walls.

Fixed prices • Fully insured • Covering the North East

About this service

Older properties often still run on cloth or rubber-insulated cable with too few sockets and no earthing to speak of. A rewire brings the whole installation up to current standards and future-proofs it for EV charging, showers and home working.

We start with a walk round the house planning socket, light and switch positions room by room. You get a written schedule, a fixed price and a realistic timescale — plus dust sheets, tidy chasing and a clean house at the end of each day.

What's included

  • Full house rewires, including new consumer unit
  • Partial rewires — kitchens, bathrooms, upstairs only
  • Renovation and extension first and second fix
  • Landlord and HMO upgrade work
  • New earthing and bonding throughout
  • Full certification on completion

Common questions

Can we stay in the house during a rewire?
In most cases yes. I work room by room and keep power on where I can, so the house stays liveable.
Do you do the plastering afterwards?
Chases are left ready for plastering, and I can recommend a trusted local plasterer if you need one.
How do you price a job?
Most work is a fixed price agreed before I start, based on a proper look at the job. Fault finding is charged at a clear diagnosis rate that I tell you up front.
Do I get a certificate for the work?
Yes. New circuits, consumer units, rewires and EV chargers are tested and certified, with the paperwork sent to you and notified where required.
Do you supply the materials and fittings?
I can supply quality trade materials at a fair price, or fit items you've bought yourself — whichever you prefer.
