About this service
Charging at home is far cheaper than public charging, but only if the install is done right. That means checking your incoming supply and main fuse first, siting the unit so the tethered cable comes to your car's port, and protecting the circuit correctly.
I'll assess the supply, recommend a charger to suit your car and driving, run a dedicated circuit and commission the unit with you so you know how to use the app and scheduling from day one.

- Will my supply take a charger?
- Most homes will. I check your main fuse and existing load first, and load-limiting is fitted where it's needed.
- How long does it take?
- A typical domestic install is done in a day, often half a day.
- How do you price a job?
- Most work is a fixed price agreed before I start, based on a proper look at the job. Fault finding is charged at a clear diagnosis rate that I tell you up front.
- Do I get a certificate for the work?
- Yes. New circuits, consumer units, rewires and EV chargers are tested and certified, with the paperwork sent to you and notified where required.
- Do you supply the materials and fittings?
- I can supply quality trade materials at a fair price, or fit items you've bought yourself — whichever you prefer.
